Thomaston Public Library will mark the first anniversary of its monthly Family Movie & Pizza Night with “The LEGO Movie” (2014, Australia/USA/Denmark) Monday, Feb. 11, at 5 p.m. Families are invited to come watch the movie and enjoy some pizza at the library, located in the historic Thomaston Academy building, 60 Main St./Route 1. The event is free and open to all, and pajama wearing is welcome.

The award-winning animated film features the voice talents of Chris Pratt as Emmet, an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules. Emmet is mistakenly identified as the Special — an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world — and, well, does his best. Other characters are voiced by Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Alison Brie, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman and more.

The evening is free, but families are asked to RSVP at 354-2453 or on its Facebook page so there will be enough pizza. “The LEGO Movie” is rated PG for mild action and rude humor. All Family Movie & Pizza Night films are shown with closed captions for the deaf and hard of hearing.
