Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers held a half-day yoga and meditation retreat at Union Hall in Rockport Jan. 5 to honor and support its volunteers. The day began with a restorative yoga class led by Linda Shepard, who is a hospice volunteer and a yoga instructor. Next, Jean Forest led the volunteers through a seated guided meditation. The morning finished with a lunch of homemade soups provided by Seafolk Cafe, which donated the food for the retreat to thank the 17 volunteers who attended for the support and comfort they bring to hospice patients and their family members.
