Camden Hills Regional High School’s Women’s Choir and Chamber Singers will host their annual Dessert Cabaret Monday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. in the Wave Café of the school, Keelson Drive off Route 90. Snow date is Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Directed by Kimberly Murphy, student teachers Eben Wight and Saphrona Stetson; and accompanied by Matt Mainster, the annual Dessert Cabaret is a joyous celebration of popular songs and culinary delights aimed at lifting spirits during the dreary dark winter months.

Members of the Chamber Singers and Women’s Choir will perform a variety of contemporary arrangements including ensemble performances of “You Will Be Found” from the Broadway musical “Dear Evan Hansen” and a jazzy arrangement of “Somewhere over the Rainbow.” Rounding out the show will be a variety of contemporary solos and duets from members of each choir.

The CHRHS Chamber Singers and Women’s Choir are select vocal ensembles whose members participate in a variety of musical events throughout the year. Many singers have been accepted to the 2017 MMEA District III Festival and the upcoming All State Festival in May. Singers include Thia Allen, Allie Balla, Tristan Black, Nicole Borden-Taylor, Tanner Castellano, Isaiah Doble, Tatum Down, Thomas Eagar, Caleb Edwards, Sophie Ernst, Ruben Feldman, Eleanor Greer, Abi Hammond, Elaine Landry, Sydney Lytton, Alana Mahoney, Lucas Marriner-Ward, Abby Milner, Isabelle Olson, Annabel Parker, Macy Pushaw, Galadria Scattoloni, Nate Stanley, Colin Stewart, Brook St. Laurent, Kate Walker-Spencer, Robyn Walker-Spencer, Bradlee Watts and Tristan Woodruff.

The evening features delectable desserts made by parents and donated by local restaurants. Attendees can sample as many desserts as they would like; extra special desserts will be auctioned off at the end of the evening. The event is capped by a chance for an audience member to be serenaded by the male a cappella ensemble The Off Beats or the female ensemble Fortissima.
