A New England barn brownie will visit the Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., Saturday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m.

Brownies are helpful elves of Scottish/English folklore who do chores in the middle of the night while humans are asleep. Children 12 and under are invited to come meet this little creature, and learn about his adventures from creator Chris Ann Derby of Waldoboro
