The Conversation Project, an initiative dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for end-of-life care, will meet at the Rockport Library, 485 Commercial St., Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will learn how and when to have these important conversations, and how sharing end-of-life wishes can bring people closer to those they love.

The Conversation Project was started by Ellen Goodman and Atul Gawande with the goal to have every person's wishes for end of life care expressed and respected. The idea is to provide family members and friends with resources and tools to help start the conversation.

This program will be led by Nelda McClellan, a nurse at Miles Hospital / Lincoln Health in Damariscotta and a resident of Rockport for over 20 years.
