Submission deadline for the third annual “What's Nude in Boothbay Harbor?” show is Monday, Jan. 28. The annual celebration of the human form features featuring nude paintings, paper work, fiber, sculpture and photography.

The show will open on Valentine’s Day at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation, 1 Townsend Ave., and run through Feb. 23.  An opening reception will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. During the same hours Saturday, Feb. 23, there will be an artist’s potluck and pick-up party.

Exhibiting nudity can be challenging in a traditional and conservative New England, but this third exhibition of  "What's Nude" will endeavor once again to present, through a variety of interpretations, the beauty and shape of the human form.  Included will be the popular Small Nudes Wall, where attendees can purchase an original small nude with all proceeds going directly to the artist.

Artists are invited to submit two pieces of work to the show. For more information or to request a submission form, call the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce at 633-2353 or send email to patricia@boothbayharbor.com.

“What's Nude in Boothbay Harbor" is sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce and the Boothbay Region Art Foundation.
