Anna Fiedler, Ph.D., was promoted to director of conservation at Midcoast Conservancy, which has recently merged with Medomak Valley Land Trust, Jan. 1. In her new role, Fiedler will be planning and directing the organization’s work to protect the water quality within three watersheds: Damariscotta Lake and the Sheepscot and Medomak Rivers. In addition, she will continue to develop and implement conservation plans to benefit climate resiliency, wildlife habitat and public access across the Midcoast.

She was previously director of land conservation at Midcoast Conservancy and for several years was the executive director of Sheepscot Wellspring Land Alliance, one of the Midcoast Conservancy’s founding organizations. Fiedler graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with a doctorate in ecology.
