State Sen. Dana Dow, R-Waldoboro, has been assigned to serve on the Legislature's Marine Resources Committee, according to an announcement from his office. The committee has jurisdiction over the state’s commercial marine fisheries management, including the processing and sale of marine fish, shellfish and aquaculture.

Dow represents Senate District 13, which includes the municipalities and unorganized territories of Windsor, Washington, Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Hibberts Gore Township, Jefferson, Louds Island Township, Monhegan Island Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Waldoboro, Westport Island, Whitefield and Wiscasset.
