Watts Hall Community Players will present “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” by Dylan Thomas as an all-ages reading Sunday, Dec. 23, at 3 p.m. in Watts Hall, Main Street/Route 1. The event is free and open to the public.

Thomas’ well-known prose work will be presented by more than 25 community members, young and old, who will read the piece that originated on BBC Radio and was subsequently recorded by the Welsh poet in 1952. After the celebratory reading, hot chocolate and caroling will round out the afternoon.

Watts Hall Community Players is a community theater group whose primary purpose is to provide opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and experience to have fun participating in all aspects of live theater. The troupe was revived in 2016 after a hiatus of more than a decade. Since then, three musicals and several other performances have been brought to the community by the not-for-profit group.
