Committee assignments were announced Friday, Dec. 21, at the Maine State Legislature.

State Sen. David Miramant, D-Camden, will be the chair of the Marine Resources Committee. Miramant will also serve on the Energy, Utilities, and Technology Committee. Miramant represents Senate District 12, which covers all of Knox County except Washington.

State Sen. Dana Dow, R-Waldoboro, will be serving on the Marine Resources Committee, and the Joint Rules Committee. Dow represents District 13, which covers Lincoln County as well as Washington and Windsor.

State Sen. Erin Herbig, D-Belfast, was appointed to the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee; and the Innovation, Development, Economic Activity, and Commerce Committee. She represents Senate District 11, which covers Waldo County.

State Rep. Pinny Beebe-Center, D-Rockland, who represents District 93, will serve on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.

Rep. Victoria Doudera, D-Camden, who represents District 94, will serve on the Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee.

Rep. Anne Matlack, D-St. George, who represents District 92, will serve on the Taxation Committee.

Rep. Jeffrey Evangelos, Independent, of Friendship, who represents District 91, will serve on the Judiciary; and State and Local Government Committees.

Rep. William Pluecker, Independent, of Warren, who represents District 95, will serve on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee.

Rep. Genevieve McDonald, D-Stonington, who represents District 134, which includes North Haven and Vinalhaven, will serve on the Marine Resources Committee.

And Rep. Stanley Paige Zeigler Jr., D-Montville who represents District 96, will serve on Environmental and Natural Resources, and Inland Fisheries and Wildlife committees.

Rep. Janice Dodge, D-Belfast who represents District 97, will serve on the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee.

Rep. Scott Cuddy, D-Winterport who represents District 98, will serve on the Labor and Housing Committee.

Rep. MaryAnne Kinney, R-Knox who represents District 99, will serve on the Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry; and State and Local Government Committees.
