Living Room Circus shows up all over the Midcoast, from Threshers to the Union Fair to the boat shed on the end of Tillson Avenue. On New Year’s Eve, Midcoast’s alternative rock cover band will play the annual New Year’s Eve Countdown Bash at Trackside Station, 4 Union St.

The 21-and-older dance party runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with a $5 cover charge. There will be a champagne toast as attendees watch the ball drop on the club’s big screen.

Living Room Circus is focused primarily on music of the ‘90s. Influences include Pearl Jam, Weezer, Space Hog, Collective Soul, Beastie Boys, Better Than Ezra, Nirvana, Live, Coheed and Cambria, Green Day, Soul Asylum, Radiohead, Natalie Imbruglia, Bush, Everclear, The Wallflowers, Primus and Violent Femmes.

The Midcoast band features Steve Lorentzen on guitar, Ian Anderson on bass, David Lorentzen on guitar and Jon Maxcy on drums. All of the “just four guys who got together to play music, that we like to play, and perform for people who like to hear it” sing.
