On Sunday evening, Dec. 23, Santa will visit downtown Waldoboro. At 6 p.m. he will arrive in the center of Waldoboro Village at the intersection of Main Street and Jefferson Street, escorted by a parade of fire trucks from around the area.

This week, a mailbox with direct service to the North Pole will be at that location for children to mail their letters to Santa with their Christmas wishes. The members of the Waldoboro Fire Department and their families will be providing cookies and hot cocoa to those in attendance. Each child who visits Santa will receive a Christmas gift of candy from the Waldoboro firefighters. For more information, contact fire@waldoboromaine.org.
