Roberta Goschke is the Artist of the Month for December at the Waldoboro Public Library, 958 Main St./Route 220 in the village.

Goschke is a lifelong artist whose interest began in childhood and continued through high school and a 20-year United States Army career. During her military service, Goschke also studied life drawing and oil painting at the Corcoran School, Art League School in Alexandria, Va. Her pastel drawings depicting the Army’s involvement in Panama are included in the collection of the U.S. Army Center for Military History in Washington, D.C.

Goschke moved to Maine in 2000. Her artwork has been included in numerous exhibitions in Maine, Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. She is an award winner of the Castine Plein Air Festival including the Castine Captured 2015 award; The Guerilla Painter Award, Wayne Plein Air Festival 2017; and Honorable Mention, Bath County Plain Air Festival 2017. She is represented by Wiscasset’s Ingram Art and Antiques and Wiscasset Bay Gallery; and Roberta’s Studio in Waldoboro.
