Sundog Outdoor Expeditions will offer two winter programs in 2019.

Winter on Wheels, for fifth and sixth graders, starts with hot chocolate and snacks to fuel up, followed by fat biking in the Camden Hills. Participants will build snow structures, build pulk sleds for the expedition, and learn winter camping skills, all while exploring Midcoast bike trails.

Earn Your Turns, for seventh & eighth graders, covers six weeks of alpine ski touring and split boarding. Alpine Touring is skiing in the backcountry. Participants will ski at the Camden Snow Bowl on Mondays and Tuesdays after school when the lifts are closed. With special “skins” that are applied to the bottom of the ski (or split board), they will be able to “skin”their way up the mountain.

Scholarships are available for both classes. For more information, call 200-1071.
