The community is invited to gather Saturday afternoon, Dec. 22, for a group lantern project and silent walk, in memory of Kolby Adams, at Sweet Tree Arts, 4 Church St. at Hope Corner.

Lantern creation will begin at 2 p.m., and the silent lantern walk will be at 4:30 p.m. People are welcome to participate in the walk, create their own lanterns or both.

Participants will design simple and creative lanterns using basket reeds, coffee filters, glue and LED lights. Lanterns can be created in remembrance or as a gift, to keep or give away.

The afternoon activity is free; any donations will go to the Hope Chest for those in the community in need.
