December’s Holiday Favorites continue Dec. 14 with “White Christmas” (1954, USA), which offers a treasury of Irving Berlin classics. Two talented song and dance men (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) team up to be one of the hottest acts in show business. They join forces with a sister act (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) to perform in Vermont at their old army general's (Dean Jagger) ski resort. The result is stuff movie musical dreams are made of.

The nonrated film runs two hours. Upcoming Holiday Favorites are: Dec. 21, “It's a Wonderful Life” (1946, USA); and, Dec. 28, “Joyeux Noel” (2005, France/Germany/UK/Belgium/Romania/Norway/Japan/USA).
