Seven students from Medomak Valley  and Oceanside  high schools will deliver PechaKucha-style presentations (20 slides, 20 seconds per slide) on "Controlling Health Care Costs," with individual presentation topics ranging from "Key Health Care Cost Drivers" and "Pursuing Single Payer Health Care" to "America’s Personal Health Care Accountability Problem" and "Breaking the Physician and Hospital Trusts in the Medical Industry."

The event is set for Thursday, Dec. 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Medomak Valley High School auditorium, 320 Manktown Road, Waldoboro. The event is open to the public with no admission charge, and refreshments will be available.

Eastern Tire & Rubber and The First Bank are once again the lead sponsors for this year’s program, Courier Publications/Village Soup is the media sponsor for the upcoming event.
