Midcoast Women and a panel of Gen Z’ers from area schools will present "Gen Z: The Connected Generation” Dec. 11, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, 55 Main St. Moderator Ronni Blaisdell, admission and outreach director of the Watershed School, in Camden, will lead the panel in a discussion, before opening up to the audience for questions and answers.

Generation Z, Post Millennials, iGeneration, Next Gen, and Plurals are all names used to describe the generation loosely defined as those born between the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. They represent 25 percent of the U.S. population.  Gen Z’ers are masters of social media and constantly connected to their peers and their environment. Several local young women, active in their schools and community, will discuss who they are, what motivates them, what they see in their future and if they plan to change the world.

Panel members are, Hattie Watmough, and Elizabeth Flanagan, from Medomak High School; Jasmine Bouchard, Veronica Katula and Ruby Jovin, from Oceanside High School; Hallie Arno, College of the Atlantic and Pearl Benjamin, Watershed School. Judy Gushee of the Midcoast Planning team is the program organizer.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information and to learn more about the panel members visit, Midcoast Women, midcoastwomen.org or facebook.com/Midcoast-Women-441939622871159/.
