Our pet pick of the week is Ruby, a 3-year old brown-and-white tabby. This shy girl has really come out of her shell while at the shelter and is now looking for a home where her personality can shine. She probably would do best in a quiet home. The lucky person who adopts this sweet girl will need a little patience, as it is likely Ruby will hide when she first gets home until she gets her bearings. Once she knows she’s home for good, she’ll show her gratitude with lots of head bumps and rubs and nice long naps in your lap. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion, stop in and meet Ruby. She’s a real gem!

We have a shelter full of wonderful pets of all sizes and personalities: cats, dogs, gerbils, rabbits, Guinea pigs etc. hoping for a home for the holidays. If you’re considering adding a pet to your family, we’d love to help you find the perfect one for you.

It’s back! And we’re so excited. The good folks at South End Grocery are throwing their annual Ugly Sweater Contest, Auction and Dance to benefit the animals at PMHS. It will be held Dec. 15 at the Rockland American Legion, 335 Limerock St. The fun starts at 5 p.m. with yummy finger food and a jam-packed auction of fabulous items just in time for the holidays. Don’t forget to wear your “ugliest” holiday sweater for a chance to win the coveted Ugly Sweater Trophy. The ugly sweater contest will be judged from 6:30 to 7. Stay for dancing to the music of the  Dogs. Tickets are $15 per person, with proceeds going to the shelter. Bring in canned pet food or other supplies and be entered to win a prize. You don’t want to miss this super-fun holiday event.

Just in time for the holidays, we have Flagship Cinema Coupon Booklets for sale. The coupon booklets are chockful of amazing coupons for the movie lover in your life!
