Ashwood Waldorf School will present Winter Revels: Joy!, a free, family-friendly performance at the Camden Opera House on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 4 p.m.

Students, aged seven to 13, will stage a brief and energetic program of sketches, poetry, music and dance from around the world. The theme this year is JOY! The program will feature “The Mummers Play," an English folk drama, complete with dragons, dark knights, clowns, and sword dancing; Klezmer song and dance; the poetry of Alfred Lord Tennyson and vocal and instrumental music from the Danish String Quartet, and the Irish singer-songwriter Enya. There will also be a special guest appearance of the Penobscot Bay Ringers handbell choir.

This annual performance is modeled on the traditional, seasonal Revels performances that originated in the Boston area. For more information, email info@ashwoodwaldorf.org or call 236-8021.
