The Knox County Emergency Management Agency has announced that three warming centers in the county will hold open houses Saturday, Dec. 1. The centers will be available for daytime warming during power outages lasting longer than two days.

The open houses are as follows:

South Thomaston Public Library, 8 Dublin Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Spruce Head Community Church, 22 Village Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mt. Olivet Lodge, 48 Liberty Road, Washington, 1 to 3 p.m.

The centers will be set up as they would be in an actual power outage situation, and they will have information on services available.
