The Union Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes the public to its Christmas in the Country event Sunday Dec. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m. on the Union Common. The free outdoor event features a bonfire and dedication, followed by the lighting of more than 30 Christmas trees, and a visit from Santa Claus. Enjoy homemade cocoa and cookies and join in carol-singing.

There will be boxes on the Common to accept donations of canned goods for the Come Spring Food Pantry.
