The Maine Outdoor Film Festival’s fourth annual Broke & Stoked contest for Maine filmmakers is a free statewide video contest for high-energy, outdoor adventure shorts. Deadline for this year’s contest is Sunday, Aug. 12.

Videos submitted must be made by a Maine resident, or Maine residents, who has/have not won more than once before; must be an outdoor video; must be less than four minutes long; and must have title screen and end credits. All music used must be credited and used with permission.

The MOFF jury will announce its favorite 10 films Tuesday, Aug. 14. These finalists will be part of the premiere screening at the Teens To Trails Life Happens Outside Festival Friday, Aug. 17, at L.L. Bean in Freeport. The following day, the finalist films will be uploaded and available to watch, and vote on (to Sept. 2), at brokeandstoked.com.

The finalists will receive an outdoor gear prize pack from sponsors; and the Three Rivers Whitewater prize pot of $1,000 will be split evenly between the best films as determined by the jury; and the online vote winner (one film can win both), to be announced the day after Labor Day.

Film submissions must be emailed via Vimeo link to maineoutdoorfilm@gmail.com. For more details, visit the website.
