A Rockland man is being held without bail Friday afternoon, Feb. 9, after police said he threatened another man with a knife during an argument over shifts at work.

Samuel Thorndike, 25, was arrested and charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and violating a condition of release, according to Rockland Deputy Police Chief Christopher Young.

The incident occurred about 11 a.m. near Oak Street in downtown Rockland.

The two men had argued about shifts at work when Thorndike pulled out a knife, police said.

He is being held at the Knox County Jail in Rockland.
