Dennis Anthony Arbour was born on July 7, 1950, in Springfield, Mass. He died peacefully Jan. 25, 2018, at Sussman House in Rockport.

Dennis was an exceptionally spiritual individual, and he bravely fought a long battle against bone cancer.

His life pursuits included art, West Coast Indian carvings, carpentry, music, boatbuilding, working for New York Illustrations, and writing his book, “Being The Phoenix." Spirituality and kindness were his guiding lights.

Dennis is survived by his sister, Cynthia Smaldone; his brother, Richard Arbour; his wife, Lesley Arbour; and his two stepchildren, Emily Churchill and Jonathan Bernhard.

His memorial service will be held this spring.
