The Owls Head-South Thomaston-Thomaston Solid Waste Board of Directors will hold a meeting with the three towns' Boards of Selectmen and town officials Feb. 8 to discuss the condition of the cooperative transfer station

The purpose of the meeting is to give an update on the condition of the facility on Buttermilk Drive.

"We intend to show the repairs and upgrades needed to the facility to keep it running safely and up to peak performance," said Bruce Colson, chairman of the OHSTT Solid Waste Cooperative.

The directors will show those in attendance the plans, drawn up by C.E.S Inc., an engineering company out of Brewer, which the board has been working with to address the issues, and will present a proposal to finance the repairs/renovations.

At the end of the presentation, the floor will be opened for questions and comments.

The meeting will be held at the South Thomaston Town Office at 7 p.m.
