The Rockland Planning Board will review next week a proposal to construct a retail/residential complex at the intersection of Cedar and Main streets.

JBRE LLC has submitted an application to the city Code Enforcement Office for construction of a 4,750-square-foot building that would consist of a retail business and a multi-family complex.

The Planning Board will review the project at its Feb. 6 meeting that starts at 5:30 p.m.

The $850,000 project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2019.

An existing house and garage would be demolished at 4-6 Cedar St.

The board reviewed a preliminary plan Oct. 3.

JBRE, owned by Barney Hildreth of Rockport, purchased the property late last year from Charles Rowling III.

The Feb. 6 meeting will also feature the final vote on the proposed addition to Oceanside High School. The board will walk the school property at 4:30 p.m.
