Democratic State Rep.Pinny Beebe-Center has filed papers to seek reelection to the Maine House.

Beebe-Center represents House District 93, which includes Rockland and Owls Head.

She has served in the House since winning a special election in March 2015, when she was elected to complete the term of Rep. Elizabeth Dickerson, D-Rockland, who resigned to take a job out of state. She won reelection in 2016.

No other candidates have filed for the seat. The deadline for party candidates to file is March 15, while unenrolled (independent) candidates have until May 25 to file papers.

The party primaries are scheduled for June 12. The general election is Nov. 6.

Beebe-Center served as a Knox County commissioner from 2002 until 2010, and served as chair of the commissioners in 2004, 2009 and 2010. She has served on the Maine Jobs Council and as chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the Knox County Homeless Coalition. She has also served as regional manager of Penquis Community Action Program and on the advisory board of Knox County Community Health Coalition. She has also served as a board member, secretary and vice president of the Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry.

She moved to the Midcoast in 1975 and has lived in her house on Edwards Street in Rockland since 1980.
