A Lanning Lane home was gutted Saturday night, Jan. 20, by fire.

The fire was reported at about 7 p.m., said Lincolnville Fire Chief Steve Gibbons.

The home at 11 Lanning Lane is owned by Debra and Steven Edmondson of Prince George, Va. It was not occupied at the time of the fire.

The house was a one-story residence assessed by the town at $75,700. Lanning Lane is off Beach Road.

The house was gutted, but the walls and roof are intact, the chief said.

No cause has been determined, but State Fire Marshal's Office personnel are expected to visit the house Monday to try to find the origin.

Camden and Northport fire crews also responded. Hope was also initially called, but was sent back when it was determined there were sufficient firefighters and equipment at the scene.

Third Assistant Fire Chief A.J. Weed was the incident commander, Gibbons said.

Crews cleared the scene at about 10:30 p.m.
