The Rockland City Council will hear an update Wednesday night on public transportation for the community.

Waldo County Community Action Partners is scheduled to appear before the council. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at city hall.

City Manager Tom Luttrell said the organization has expressed interest in a location for a bus stop. The small buses used by the Belfast-based organization run to Pen Bay Medical Center and the supermarkets but wants a downtown location for a bus stop.

Also on the agenda are an update from the comprehensive planning commission, from Rockland Heart & Soul, and Rockland Main Street Inc.
