The Just Friends Hair Design salon on Glen Street was packed with seven employees and their customers just before 2 p.m. Friday when a Buick came through the wall, sending debris flying.

"It was like a bomb went off," said one employee.

Fortunately no one — driver or employees and customers — was injured, but it could have been a different story. One work station and a hair-drying seat were taken out in the crash.

Eveleyn Holman, 98, of Rockland was behind the wheel and had accidentally hit the accelerator. The car went into the building about four feet, according to Fire Chief Chris Whytock.

The crash startled those who were in the building at the time. However, employees said they plan to stay open and keep doing business. They were busily cleaning up the debris inside while two of the employees' husbands were busy repairing the wall outside.
