The Camden Hills wrestling team eyed a boatload of victories on Wednesday, Dec. 20 as the Windjammers faced Dirigo of Dixfield, Cony of Augusta and host Skowhegan.

Ultimately, the Windjammers finished 1-2 in the dual-matches they posted a 48-30 win over the Cougars, while they fell 51-30 to the Rams and 61-21 to the Indians.

Camden Hills coach Pat Kelly said his team was undermanned due to “kids not coming back to the team, kids on vacation and grades.” He added that Dawson Allen was chosen as wrestler of the meet as he “was in good position, patient and wrestled a very tough opponent like a champion.”

"We have a great coaching staff that is very committed and focused on getting kids to a higher level of wrestling,” Kelly said. “We work hard, have fun and enjoy each other as a whole unit."
