The Medomak Valley wrestling team had taken hold on a strong start to the season with seven victories in nine previous dual-matches, but the Panthers ran into a tough opponent in their first home meet of the season, and eventually fell short against Mount Ararat/Brunswick 48-36.

In the Wednesday night, Dec. 20 high school meet, a few forfeits hampered both teams, but when the Panthers and Eagles/Dragons did battle on the mat, the matches proved exciting, with all non-exhibition matches decided by pin.
