The Thomaston Route 1 project is nearing completion, with Main Street paving expected to be finished by the end of October, according to the Department of Transportation. DOT expects sidewalk and lawn repair work to continue through December.

One-way traffic has resumed on Route 1, in accordance with the contract between DOT and Lane Construction. Lane Construction will work hard to keep traffic flowing and use one-way traffic on an as needed base particularly when it is unsafe to use two-way traffic, according to Thomaston officials.
