Waldoboro police officers responded to 115 calls for service between July 17 and July 24. Below are a few of the highlights.

July 20

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of some money.

Hesseltine summoned Christopher Horan, 35, of Auburn, for speed (30-plus over the speed limit), uninspected motor vehicle, failure to show proof of insurance, and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public way.

July 22

Officer John Lash investigated a report of the theft of a phone.

Lash investigated a crash on Friendship Road at 11:42 p.m. Alexander Held, 29, of Thomaston, was driving south in a 2007 Toyota sedan. Held was operating the vehicle in an erratic, reckless, careless, negligent or aggressive manner, lost control and rolled the car over, landing in the opposite side of the road. Minor injuries were reported, and Held was summoned for operating under the influence.

July 23

Officer Chris Spear summoned a 16-year-old female from Damariscotta for operating a vehicle without a license.

July 25

Hesseltine summoned Aaron Waltz, 44, of Waldoboro, for uninspected motor vehicle.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
