This week we are asking:

"Do you support the Legislature's decision to raise the age for purchasing tobacco to 21?"

The Maine House and Senate both approved LD 1170 on July 20, whic would prohibit the sale of tobacco products to anyone younger than 21 years old. The current age is 18. The law would not prohibit the use of tobacco products by people 18, 19, and 20. The bill is now before Gov. Paul LePage.

See attached chart for results from last week's poll, showing most who responded either ride fair rides or allow their children to, but a smaller number believe the rides to be safe.
