From harbor to river and 1850 to 2017, the inspiring properties on this year’s Merryspring Kitchen Tour display wide variety in their design, function, and character.

On Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Tour visits eight private Midcoast home kitchens, with a gourmet tasting from a local chef at every stop — a total of 16 participating restaurants, caterers, and food purveyors. Merryspring Nature Center encourages you to bring your friends and houseguests to this popular summertime event, its major annual fundraiser. The 2017 Kitchen Tour is sponsored by EBS Style Solutions, Camden.

Each kitchen has its own personality, the result of creative homeowners, aided by skilled designers, builders, and craftspeople. The chefs at work in each kitchen give you a sampling of the ever-expanding food choices available in the Midcoast.

The 2017 Kitchen Tour features these homeowners and chefs:

Give yourself plenty of time to visit all the kitchens, but go in any order and at your own pace. Properties are not handicapped-accessible; visitors tour at their own risk. Please carpool as much as possible.
