The Camden Public Library continues to host its Monday Night Movie Series in the adjacent amphitheater. Upcoming movies include  “Journey to the Center of the Earth” (2008), July 31 at 8:15 p.m.; “An American Tail” (1986), Aug. 7, at 8 p.m.; and “Dead Poet's Society” (1989), Aug. 21, at 8 p.m.

The screenings are free and open to all. Moviegoers are encouraged to enjoy dinner downtown before the movie; and to bring their favorite lawn seating. In the case of rain, the movie likely will be canceled or postponed; check or the library Facebook page for updates.

On Monday nights when there are no movies, the Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra performs; MoJO’s final performance for the summer will be Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The Movies and Music Series is sponsored by Camden National Bank, with additional support from Mid-Coast Limo and the Camden Area Business Group.
