The John Libby Family Association will hold its 113th annual reunion Sept. 23 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Congregational Church, 167 Black Point Road.

The speaker for the day will be Kevin Johnson, photo archivist at the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport. This is part of the largest collection of images in the state of Maine. He will open his talk with a short documentary movie which previously appeared on Maine’s public broadcasting system.

A silent auction will begin soon after registration, which starts at 8:30 a.m., and end at 1 p.m. Also planned is the Libby General Store, with Libby related items including books and other publications, clothing, pins and cups.

The annual business meeting will start at 11 a.m., followed by a catered lunch at noon that will feature home-style roast chicken. Reservations must be made by Sep. 10. Contact Pat Libby Davis at 978-369-6250 for more information.

After the speaker the winners from the silent auction and the afghan raffle will be announced.

All Libbys are welcome, no matter how they spell their name, as well as those interested in photography or Maine history. A $5 donation is requested to cover the cost of the speaker.
