Waldoboro police officers responded to 362 calls for service between June 26 and July 17. Below are a few of the highlights:

June 27

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report of a stolen mailbox.

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 4:45 p.m. Mary Reid, 83, of Middleburg, Va., was traveling northbound in a 2017 Ford utility vehicle following behind Michael Hummel, 42, of Bellbrook, Ohio, who was in a 2006 Chevrolet utility vehicle. Hummel slowed to make a left turn onto Kaler’s Pond Road and was rear-ended by Reid, causing damage to both vehicles.No injuries were reported.

June 28

Officer Andrew Santheson investigated a report of an attempted burglary.

Santheson arrested Theron Thibodeau, 28, of Waldoboro, for a violation of conditional release and a warrant.

June 29

Wilson investigated a crash at the intersection of Friendship Road and Finntown Road, at 3:27 a.m. Dimitra Crudell, 25, of Washington, was traveling west on Finntown Road in a 2000 Saturn sedan, when he skidded through the intersection of Friendship Road and struck a CMP pole and embankment on the southbound shoulder of Friendship Road. Minor injuries were reported.

Hesseltine arrested Dimitra Crudell, 25, of Washington, for burglary, theft and terrorizing.

Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of medication and a phone.

Wilson investigated a crash on Friendship Road at 7 p.m. Kathleen Simmons, 48, of Waldoboro, struck the rear driver's corner and fender of a legally parked 2013 Chevrolet utility vehicle with her 2012 Hyundai sedan and left the scene. The parked vehicle was in front of the Sproul Block Apartments and belonged to Deann Vigue, 54, of Washington.

July 3

Officer John Lash arrested Luke Wooster, 41, of Waldoboro, for domestic violence assault.

Hesseltine investigated a report from Medomak Arts of the theft of beer and wine.

July 4

Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of money from a vehicle.

July 7

Spear investigated a report of the possible theft of money.

Spear arrested Marin Fosdick, 44, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

July 8

Spear summoned Roger Feltis, 25, of Canaan, for operating after suspension and failure to show proof of insurance.

July 9

Spear investigated a report of damage to a personal vehicle.

July 10

Spear arrested Nicholas Winter, 18, of Lincolnville, for operating under the influence.

Officer Thomas Bartunek summoned a 17-year-old male, from Waldoboro, for unauthorized use.

Hesseltine arrested Nicholas Adkins, 27, of Warren, for operating under the influence.

Spear summoned Philip Libby, 30, of Waldoboro, for operating motor vehicle with an expired license.

July 11

Santheson summoned Denise Bizer, 50, of Waldoboro, for failure to register a motor vehicle.

Santheson summoned Lilly Lee Winchenbach, 21, of Round Pond, for failure to register a motor vehicle.

July 13

Wilson investigated a report of harassing text messages.

July 14

Hesseltine arrested Shane Sykes, 27, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

July 15

Spear summoned a 17-year-old male from Waldoboro for operating a vehicle without a license.

Spear arrested Corey Main, 44, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Lash investigated a crash on Orffs Corner Road at 9:34 p.m. Benjamin Carter, 15, of Jefferson, was northbound in a 2000 Lincoln sedan, drove too fast for conditions, and went off the side of the road, striking a utility pole.No injuries were reported.

July 16

Spear investigated a report of slashed vehicle tires.

July 17

Spear investigated a report the theft of medication.
