Maine Media Workshops + College’s Maine Media Gallery, 18 Central St., promises to “Mystify the Senses” with captivating displays of visual arts Monday, July 24, through Aug. 12. Opening reception will be Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The art show and sale, an extension of the annual art sale fundraiser, includes prints and books by more than 25 artists. Proceeds will support programming and student scholarships at Maine Media. Artists who have donated prints to the art sale include Arthur Meyerson, Peter Ralston, Elizabeth Greenberg, Jim Nickelson, Jacob Hessler and many other talented photographers.

The annual art sale fundraiser June 22 offered an evening of experiential presentations that engaged guests through a sampling of what happens on the Maine Media campus. Included was a 19th-century photographic print process; whimsical film projections; and Jason Leddington, a Bucknell professor of philosophy, enchanting patrons with sleight-of-hand magic and “impossible souvenirs” from the evening.
