Destination Wellness Midcoast Maine and the Rockland Public Library co-sponsor a talk in the Community Room at the library, 80 Union St., Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 6:30 p.m.

Local astrologer Ananur Forma will discuss current astrological indicators and offer suggestions that could apply to participants' lives. During her interactive talk, “Use Astrology to Understand Life’s Journey,” she will discuss the outer planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto (yes, a planet in astrological terms), and how they might influence our lives. Attendees are invited to bring their personal astrological charts to be used as examples of how astrology may help us more deeply understand our journey on this planet.

Forma will tap into her knowledge of astrology and her intuition to help those without prepared charts. If time allows, she will share information about the book she is currently writing, which features interviews with people who have had life-changing near-death experiences.

Forma began studying astrology, past life regression, meditation, primal therapy and “the Dances of Universal Peace,” when she lived in Boston in the early '70s. She writes a weekly astrology column in the Free Press, and also has a blog on Knox Village Soup.

This event is free and open to the public. For more informatoin, call 594-0310.
