Rock City Café, 316 Main St., will welcome back Sydney (Australia) -born singer/songwriter Tamara Hansson Friday, July 28; and Lincolnville’s Will Brown Saturday, July 29, both playing from 7 to 9 p.m.

Hansson got her start in Australia’s east coast music scene, supporting the likes of Abbe May and Diana Anaid with her songs of love, heartbreak and the human condition. A low-key jazz sojourn in London was followed by relocation to New York City, where she has been flitting about the music scene after the release of her debut EP, “The Apartment Sessions” recorded, yes, in her humble shoebox apartment.

Brown promises original arrangements of folk, Americana, traditional and transatlantic songs and tunes. He has been playing with other well-known Maine musicians since the early 1980s and is known for his tasty finger style guitar work. He encourages folks to sing along, as it is more fun for all (and helps him recall the lyrics at times).

Food is available until closing. For more information on these and other events happening at the coffeebar/cafe, call 594-4123 or find it on Facebook.
