The Sail, Power and Steam Museum will present two band concerts under the tent in coming days. These concerts are free and the public is invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the sea breezes and music at Sharp’s Point South.

The concert Friday, July 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. will feature the local Breakers Jazz band. Under the direction of Marlene Hall, Breakers Jazz gathers highly energetic musicians, all with a passion to make great music. This old- fashioned band concert includes music from the classic big band era to the contemporary.

Yankee Brass Band will stop by for a concert Wednesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. This authentic 19th-century-style brass band features music performed on antique instruments by musicians from all over the United States, conducted by music director Paul Maybery.

Sharp’s Point South and the Sail, Power and Steam Museum are at 75 Mechanic St. For more information on the museum and its programs, call 701-7627 or 596-0200; email; or visit
