PhoPa Gallery will exhibit the complete “Blanchard Weather Report,” a work of 40 photographs by Todd Watts. The exhibition opens Wednesday, July 19, and continues through Saturday, Aug. 19. An opening reception will be held Thursday, July 20, from 5 to 7 p.m.

“The Blanchard Weather Report” began in 2014 as a conversation about art and the earth, carried out in pictures over the internet with friends and colleges around the world, Watts said. The exhibition comprises pictures from that conversation, “a combination of lessons from art history with reflections on climate change.”

Watts’s work, with his exploration of the changing environment, genetics and resulting cultural ramifications, has been exhibited and collected internationally. Recent Maine venues include the University of Maine Museum of Art and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. His work is represented in Maine by the Caldbeck Gallery in Rockland; and is represented in 26 major museum collections worldwide.

PhoPa Gallery, 132 Washington Ave., is a collaboration among photographer Jon Edwards, independent curator Bruce Brown, and Maine Media Workshops + College in Rockport. Gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m.
