Sarah Moriarty will read from her first novel, “North Haven,” Tuesday, July 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Owl & Turtle Bookshop Café, 33 Bay View St. The event is free and open to the public.

The summer read is about four adult siblings gathering at their Maine island home for what might be the last time. Each is grappling with personal issues, and returning to the place that shaped them offers insight as to how and why they have arrived at their current individual crossroads.
