On Saturday and Sunday July 22-23, Thomaston Assembly of God will be hosting a Neighborhood Missions Weekend.

There will be free food, music, an open blessing room full of food, clothes and other useful items for those in need. Maine Teen Challenge will be the guest ministry and Thomaston Assembly of God Pastor Jon Cuthbertson will be the speaker.

Teen Challenge members will share their path to victory over addiction and renewal of life. The missions team will also be sharing their journey through addiction, brokenness and overcoming past hurts.

Saturday at 4 p.m. there will be a cookout with free hamburgers, hotdogs and other snacks while supplies last in the church parking lot. A service will follow at 6 p.m. There will then be music, testimonies from Maine Teen Challenge and others. There will also be a time for those who need prayer.

Sunday morning, services will be at 10:30 a.m. Foreign missions will be the emphasis, with speaker Northern New England Superintendent of the Assembly of God the Rev. Dennis Marquardt. There will be special music and missions updates and more fun to be had, including a banquet featuring foods and dishes from some supported missionary countries made by members of the church.
