“A Forever Frozen Story,” a live action family show inspired by the same Hans Christian Andersen story recently explored on the silver screen, will be presented Sunday, July 16, at 3 p.m. at the Camden Opera House, 29 Elm St./Route 1.

This interactive large-scale original musical takes audiences on a fantastic journey to the land of winter, a colorful adventure spectacle peopled by magical characters in an enchanted world of song, dance, laughter, emotion and surprise.

The performance is aimed at the entire family, but it is specifically intended for children between 1 and 7 years old, both girls and boys. The show is approximately 90 minutes long including the intermission. All six costumed characters will be available at the end for a meet-and-greet with the children, taking the time for pictures and signing autographs.

The theatrical tour started in Canada in November 2016. This month into October, starting in Maine, “A Forever Frozen Story” will be presented 30 times in six different states.

Tickets are $20, $15 and $12. Note that tickets for the Midcoast production are not handled by the opera house. They may purchased in advance at aforeverfrozenstory.com or by calling (855) 561-3602 (this is a Canadian box office, so transaction is international).
