During the week July 24-28, campers will have the special opportunity to spend the glorious summer weather constructing their own tree house with Michael Bunker of Heritage Timber Wrights.

Bunker grew up building houses and camps with his father and grandfather in rural Maine. He will be sharing his experience of working with hand tools and raw materials with the children. Including choosing the perfect tree, finding the best wood to build with, and developing skills with a variety of hand tools. This workshop will be balanced with time to explore the garden and shoreline for planting, drawing, and nature art.

Summer Camp at Riley provides exciting experiential learning opportunities while celebrating the relaxing flow of summer. One-week sessions include nature exploration and garden play combined with artistic endeavors in pottery, collage, and tree house creation. The camps are designed towards ages 6-14. All summer program facilitators are practicing professionals in their field, with experience and passion for sharing their knowledge while supporting children in exploring the world and their unique role in it.
