The Salvation Army Northern New England Division has promoted Lieuts. Keith and Shannon Davis to captains of the Rockland Corps.

The Davises, who have been with the Salvation Army for five years as officers, are celebrating their one-year anniversary in Rockland.

The Rockland Corps offers general assistance of food, clothing and utilities. During the summer, children have the opportunity to attend The Salvation Army’s Camp Sebago in Standish. During the holidays The Salvation Army will assist families with meals and gifts.

These efforts help serve the primary commitment of The Salvation Army, which is to help meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of all people. In addition to their many administrative roles the Davises will continue to lead the center’s weekly worship service on Sundays at 11 a.m.; all are invited to attend.

There is also Sunday School for all ages at 10 a.m. Prior to their current appointment here in Rockland, the couple spent four years serving in Syracuse, N.Y.
